The result of the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2023 has been released. In this, many students studying under the UPSC coaching of Jamia Millia Islamia University have passed. Free UPSC coaching is given at Jamia’s Residential Coaching Academy. In this, minority, SC, ST, and women candidates can be admitted. This residential coaching academy is run by the Center for Coaching and Career Planning at Jamia. In this programme, those studying at the coaching centre also get hostels.
The application process for Jamia’s Civil Services (Prelims-cum-Mains)-2025 coaching program is going on from March 18, 2024. The last date of application for this is June 19. Earlier, the last date for applications was announced as May 19. Corrections in the application form can be made on June 21 and 22.
Selection for Jamia’s residential coaching is based on a written examination and interview. There are two papers in the written examination. Paper 1 is general studies, and the second paper will be based on essay writing. Paper 1 will consist of objective-type questions only and will carry 100 marks.
On the other hand, paper 2 carries 60 marks. Based on the merit obtained in Paper 1 (MCQ test marks), the essays of only the top 900 students will be evaluated. The weighted score of the interview is a total of 40 marks, and it will be held online. The written exam will be held in three languages including English, Hindi, and Urdu.
This year, as many as 100 seats are available for the free coaching facility in the Residential Coaching Academy. Hostel accommodation is a compulsory condition and will be made available to all the enrolled students. In the case of fewer hostel seats, they may be prioritized exclusively based on the merit obtained in the entrance test.
