Israel is building a road in central Gaza to divide the north from the south of the Palestinian territory. The road is aimed to facilitate Israeli military raids and control the movement of the local population, US-based think tanks ISW & CTP said. The under-construction road would reportedly “control the flow of Gazans from north to south” and “protect the area.” The war monitors said that Israeli forces reported that Israel’s military was “preparing for a very long stay” in Gaza.The road dissecting the coastal enclave was part of that long-term planning by Israel, the latest ISW/CTP report states.
