The IDF says it eliminated a senior field commander in Hezbollah’s elite Radwan force in an airstrike in southern Lebanon overnight. The air strike killed Ali Ahmed Hassin, who according to the IDF, held a rank equivalent to a brigade commander. Hassin, IDF said, was charged with attacks on northern Israel’s Ramim Ridge, an area that has come under repeated attacks amid the war. Hassin was struck in the southern Lebanon town of Al Sultanya, as per IDF.According to the IDF, another two Hezbollah operatives under his command were also killed in the strike. Hezbollah said a member of the group from Kafr Kila, a town on the border with Israel, had been killed “while carrying out his jihadist duty.”Two security sources told Reuters three people were killed in the attack, including a field commander of Hezbollah’s Radwan Force.
