Honor Magic 6 Pro: Global Launch at MWC 2024 with New AI Features | – Times of India

Chinese smartphone maker Honor launched its latest Magic 6 Pro smartphone in its domestic market last month. At the ongoing Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 in Barcelona, the company has launched the phone for the global markets. Apart from this, the company also showcased new AI features that will be available for the smartphone at the event. Among these, one of the experimental features that were showcased was an eye-tracking AI function that enables users to remotely open and move their car just by looking at their phone screen.This tool is already available in China and the company is working to integrate it commercially overseas.

Starting at €1,299 (nearly Rs 1,16,500) the Honor Magic 6 Pro will be available in Europe and other global regions in the coming weeks.

Honor Magic 6 Pro: Key highlights

The Honor Magic 6 Pro sports a 6.8-inch display that supports Full HD resolution and a 120Hz display. The smartphone’s display is also covered up by “NanoCrystal Shield,” a new glass that Honor says is 10 times stronger when dropped compared to what was used previously.
The Magic 6 Pro also has silicone nitride coating on the glass that is expected to make the screen more scratch resistant. The company also claims that the smartphone also supports 4320Hz PWM dimming that will helpful for users who are sensitive to this aspect of OLED displays.

The Magic 6 Pro is powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, backed with up to 1TB of storage, up to 16GB of RAM and runs Android 14-based Honor MagicOS 8 out-of-the-box.
For photography, the smartphone has a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP ultra wide lens and a 180MP periscope unit that support up to 2.5x zoom. The Magic 6 Pro also has a 50MP front-facing camera and DoF for secure face unlock.
The Honor Magic 6 Pro packs a 5,600 mAh battery and uses an improved silicon carbon tech. This allows for charging in extreme cold and more power storage in a smaller capacity. Despite the massive power pack, the Magic 6 Pro is just 8.9mm thick. The smartphone also supports 80W wired and 66W wireless charging.
