Halsey Embraced India With 3 Outfits Crafted By Saaksha Kinni, Arpita Mehta and Anamika Khanna – News18

The Without Me hitmaker, Halsey stole hearts on Day 1 of Lollapalooza with not just her music but with her style quotient as well. Embracing India and its fashion, Halsey walked up on stage in Saaksha & Kinni’s infinity blouse and paired it with a Chopova Lowena two-tone mini skirt with knife pleats that beautifully blended with her festival fashion look.

Saaksha and Kinni are known for their love of exploring the various shades of India and its crafts and beautifully blending them in their contemporary silhouettes. Speaking about designing the blouse for Halsey, Saaksha Bhat of Saaksha & Kinni, says, “The brief for Halsey was to light the stage on fire! We opted for a hand-embroidered blouse with enough mirrors to reflect as much light as possible. The embroidery used was intricate threadwork, mirror arrangement and metallic threads.”

Crafted in satin and net fabric, the infinity blouse was a labour of love and the bold fit perfectly matched Halsey’s energy on stage. “We kept the base dark – staying true to her love of dark tones but added pops of pinks and reds – vibrant colours that represent India. We enjoyed playing around with bold embroidery since it was a stage outfit and couldn’t be happier with how she executed the look,” adds Saaksha.

Halsey’s high-energy performance and high-fashion ensemble definitely set the tone for festival fashion in 2024.

his isn’t the only Indian attire Halsey adorned in India. A day before her performance, Halsey was spotted in one of Arpita Mehta’s quintessential sarees. Arpita who is known for giving the Indian drape a contemporary twist, draped Halsey in a free flowing stunningly divine coconut colour saree. The bold, sexy blouse paired with the saree added a hint of glamour to Halsey’s Indian look. Describing Halsey’s divine look, fashion designer Arpita Mehta says, “Halsey looks effortless in our signature pre-stitched tiered coconut colour sari in a soft free flowing georgette with a coordinated delicately hand pleated blouse.” Halsey completed the look with jewellery from Isharya and a potli bag from Fizzy Goblet.

Keeping it bold and fierce, Halsey was also spotted in a custom Anamika Khanna ensemble. The cutout detailing with Anamika Khanna’s signature colour palette and intricate embroidery was glamorously styled on Halsey by celebrity stylists Shereen and Lyn.

Lollapalooza 2024 returned to India with a commendable line-up of international artists including The Jonas Brothers, Sting, One Republic, Keane, Anoushka Shankar and Indian artists and bands including Skrat, The Raghu Dixit Project, When Chai Met Toast, Dualist Inquiry, Parekh & Singh among others.
