Google reportedly working on Pixel Watch 3 with larger screen and Pixel Buds Pro 2 | – Times of India

Google is working on a larger variant of its upcoming Pixel Watch 3 smartwatch, along with a new generation of Pixel Buds Pro wireless earbuds, according to a report from 9to5Google.
The Pixel Watch 3, expected to launch later this year, will reportedly be available in a 45mm size option, addressing one of the biggest criticisms of the current 41mm Pixel Watch model – its small size.The larger 45mm variant is said to provide a significant difference in wrist presence, matching the size of the Apple Watch Series 9.
While Google’s smaller wearable is expected to remain around the current 41mm size, catering to those who prefer more compact watches, the 45mm model will offer increased screen real estate, potentially benefiting certain watch faces and apps like Gmail.
In addition to the size variations, the Pixel Watch 3 is anticipated to run on the upcoming Wear OS 5 based on Android 14. Google has also been touting its new hybrid interface for Wear OS, which promises to significantly improve battery life by leveraging the microcontroller unit (MCU) instead of relying solely on the application processor (AP).
Alongside the Pixel Watch 3, Google is also working on the next generation of its Pixel Buds Pro wireless earbuds, tentatively dubbed the Pixel Buds Pro 2. While the official name remains uncertain, the report suggests that Google has been developing these new earbuds for some time.

Next-gen Pixel Buds Pro could come later this year

The current Pixel Buds Pro, launched in May 2022, received a substantial feature update last fall, introducing capabilities like Conversation Detection, Hearing Wellness, Bluetooth Super Wideband, reduced gaming latency (with the Pixel 8), and Clear Calling, among others.
With the Pixel Buds Pro 2, Google is expected to improve active noise cancellation (ANC) further and introduce new smart features powered by AI and improved hardware capabilities.
Both the Pixel Watch 3 and Pixel Buds Pro 2 are highly anticipated additions to Google’s hardware lineup, addressing consumer demands for larger smartwatch sizes and improved audio experiences. As Google continues to refine its hardware offerings, these upcoming devices aim to provide a more compelling and diverse range of options for consumers.
