There have been recent reports suggesting that Google is preparing to launch an additional mini card that will provide real-time air quality updates for your local area. Now a new online report suggests that the tech giant has started rolling out the AQI card for its Android and iOS users.
As reported by 9to5Google, the tech giant has now started widely rolling out the AQI card in the Discover tab on both iOS and Android operating systems. The report further adds that the company revamped the Customise menu by replacing Material You switches with checkboxes.

- Weather: Keeps you updated with current weather conditions
- Finance: Tracks stock prices and market trends from industries you follow
The AQI will join in as the fourth mini card. Tapping on that initiates an air quality search.
In contrast, the iOS version presents the entire AQI mini card, providing a preview of its future appearance. Currently, this card is compact and offers limited functionality, but it does present the AQI level and the corresponding distance below it. Moreover, it features an indicator for the air quality condition, which we anticipate will change colors to reflect the air quality status.
“You receive the numerical AQI, along with a color-coded dot matching the air quality condition, as well as information regarding the location and the time of the reading,” mentions the report.
