The Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru will begin the application correction process for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2024 today, November 7. Candidates who submitted their applications can edit the required changes by visiting the official website of IISc GATE 2024 at gate2024.iisc.ac.in by entering their login details to access their forms.

The last date to modify the details is November 11. Candidates are allowed to edit details including name, date of birth, examination city, paper category, and gender by paying a fee of Rs 500. They are also allowed to change categories by paying a fee of Rs 1400.

IISc Bangalore is scheduled to conduct the GATE 2024 on February 3, 4, 10, and 11. The admit cards for the examination will be available for download from January 3. The answer keys will be issued on February 21. Based on the challenges raise, the institute will release the result.

GATE 2024: How to Edit Application Form

Step 1: Visit the official website at gate2024.iisc.ac.in.

Step 2: On the homepage, click on registration correction window

Step 3: Provide your personal details to create login credentials.

Step 4: Log in using the generated credentials on the homepage.

Step 5: Make the required changes in the GATE 2024 online application form.

Step 6: Pay the fees. Submit.

Step 7: Download and print the confirmation page for future reference.

GATE 2023 will be held in the Computer Based Test (CBT) format for a duration of three hours. The exam will feature 30 test papers. Each paper includes two sections — General Aptitude (GA), and Candidate’s Selected Subject(s). GATE 2024 comprises a total of 65 questions with 10 questions from the general aptitude section and 55 from the subject selected by the candidates. Questions will carry either one mark or two marks. For every wrong answer to an MCQ, there will be a negative marking. For a one-mark MCQ, one-third of the marks per question will be deducted for a wrong answer. For a two-mark MCQ, two-thirds of the marks will be deducted for a wrong answer. There is no negative marking for wrong answers to MSQ and NAT questions.
