Lok Sabha Election 2024 LIVE: The BJP-led NDA on Monday night announced the seat-sharing arrangement in Bihar with the saffron party contesting 17 seats and JD(U) 16. LJP, HAM, and RLP will contest 5, 1, and 1 seat respectively. Bihar Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary said the list of candidates will be declared soon. Meanwhile, the BJP launched its ‘Pehle Vote Modi Ko Campaign’ campaign for first-time voters and urged them to register themselves and take a pledge to extend support to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his third term.
In another major development, the EC removed the home secretaries of Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, and also ordered the shunting out of West Bengal DGP Rajeev Kumar. On the other hand, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) Chief Raj Thackeray announced that his party will contest the Lok Sabha Election on their symbol.
