Delhi Schools EWS Admission 2024: Registration Date, Deadline And Eligibility – News18

The Delhi Education Directorate has issued a notification for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) Admission 2024-25 in private schools in Delhi. According to the notification, registration for admission will commence on April 30. Parents can register their children for admission by visiting the official website edudel.nic.in.

The deadline to apply is May 15. As per the EWS Admission 2024-25 guidelines, 25 per cent of seats in private schools will be reserved for economically weaker sections and children with special needs (CWSN), as mandated. These seats will be allocated through a computerised lottery system. The computerised draw is scheduled to take place on May 20.

For admission in pre-school or nursery classes under EWS and DG categories, the age of children should be between 3 to 5 years. The age limit for pre-school or nursery admission for CWD or CWSN category students is 3 to 7 years. Whereas for children belonging to EWS and DG categories who want to take admission in Pre Primary or KG, their age limit should be 3 to 6 years. For primary or class 1 admissions, students under the EWS and DG categories should be aged between 5 and 7 years. To be eligible for the EWS category benefits, applicants must be permanent residents of Delhi. Additionally, to qualify, the family income of the student should not exceed Rs 2.5 lakh per annum.

Step 1: First of all go to the official website edudel.nic.in.

Step 2: Click on Delhi EWS Admission 2024-25 link on the home page.

Step 3: After filling in all the necessary information, click on the application form submit link.

Step 4: Pay the registration fee and submit the application form.

Step 5: If you wish, you can download the application form and take its print.
