Dalljiet Kaur, a renowned name in the Indian television industry, shifted base to Kenya after her marriage to Nikhil Patel. Away from the limelight, the actress enjoyed quality time with her family. Dalljiet is now back in India to fulfill her work commitments. The actress made her Bollywood debut recently. In her latest interview, the actress shared how it feels to be back in India and her upcoming professional plans.

In conversation with ETimes, Dalljiet Kaur stated, “It’s beautiful to come to India. It’s very interesting, and I’ve realised this now because I’ve not been coming here too often. The moment the aeroplane is about to touch down in Mumbai, I get this feeling that I’m home. Ghar aa gaye, it’s a beautiful feeling.” She also mentioned that due to her packed schedule, she has not been able to meet her friends. Once they came to know that she was in Mumbai everyone wanted her to stay at their place. Overwhelmed by all the love, Dalljiet stated that she has many houses in Mumbai.

The actress starred in the film Dashmi, which was released last month. Speaking about the experience of working for the big screen, the actress shared, “This is my first theatrical experience, and to see myself on that big screen was very beautiful. I told myself Haan yaar theek lagti hoon main. It was a very good experience.” She also stated the real reason for her trip to India was her father’s knee surgery. She mentioned, “He’s in Bangalore and the timing was correct and it matched everything. I decided to come here first and attend the premiere then go back to Bangalore and take care of my father. This trip is quite hectic.”

Speaking about her future professional plans, Dalljiet stated that she is “proud” to be a television actress. She shared that the recognition and fame she has received so far is because of television. She added, “Even if today I get offered an amazing TV show with a limited number of episodes, I’ll happily do it. I love television.”

Dalljiet Kaur has worked in several TV shows like- Kulvaddhu, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, Swaragini – Jodein Rishton Ke Sur, Kaala Teeka and many more. She even participated in popular reality shows including Bigg Boss 13 and Nach Baliye 4.
