CTET 2023: Last Date to Raise Objection to Answer Key, Check Result Update – News18

CTET 2023 Answer Key: The window to raise objection against the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2023 provisional answer key will close today, September 18, at 11.59 pm. Candidates who took the exam and want to challenge the answer key may do so on the official website at ctet.nic.in. Candidates can challenge the answer keys by paying a fee of Rs 1000 per question through a credit or debit card.

In an official notice, the Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE stated, “All the candidates who appeared in CTET held on 20th August, 2023 are informed that the scanned images of OMR Answer Sheet of the candidates & Answer Keys are uploaded on the website https://ctet.nic.in/ from 15/09/2023to18/09/2023 (upto 11.59 PM).”

Based on the objections raised by the candidates, CBSE will release the CTET 2023 final answer key and result. As per media reports, the result is expected to be released at the end of September.

Step 2: Click on the answer key link on the homepage

Step 3: View the answer key, click on the question you want to raise objection to

Step 4: Submit substantial documents

Step 6. Save and submit

Step 7. Download the page for further use.

As per the CTET marking scheme, one mark is awarded for every correct answer. There is no negative marking. To clear the exam, candidates belonging to the unreserved category must get at least 60 per cent, or 90 out of 150 marks. While students belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC), and People with Disabilities (PWD) categories, must receive 55 per cent, or 82 out of 150 to pass the exam.

CBSE conducted CTET 2023 on August 20 for which more than 29 lakh candidates had registered. Out of the 29,03,903 candidates who registered for the exam, as many as 15,01,719 candidates applied for paper 1 and 14,02,184 for paper 2. The 17th edition of CTET was held in 3,121 examination centres throughout India in 136 cities. While 80 per cent of the registered candidates had appeared in the examination.
