CBSE Releases Syllabus For Classes 10, 12 For Academic Year 2024-25 – News18

The class 10 and 12 syllabus for the CBSE Board Exam 2025 has been released by the Central Board of Secondary Education. The curriculum for the 2024-25 academic year has been further categorised into Secondary Curriculum (classes 9 and 10) and Senior Secondary Curriculum (classes 11 and 12). For better understanding, the board has published the CSBE syllabus and other assessments in Hindi as well. Students can now download the syllabus for each subject by visiting the curriculum section of the official CBSE website at cbseacademic.nic.in.

For class 10 students, CBSE has prescribed a total of five compulsory subjects and two optional subjects. Whereas, the CBSE class 12 syllabus includes seven major learning areas that include languages, humanities, mathematics, sciences, skill subjects, general studies and health, and physical education.

CBSE CLASS 10 AND 12 CURRICULUM NOTICE 2024-25: HOW TO CHECK?

Here’s how students can check the curriculum notice that has been released by CBSE for the 2024-25 academic year –

Step 1: The first step requires students to visit the official CBSE website at www.cbseacademic.nic.in.

Step 2: On the CSBE website homepage you will have to find the tab that reads ‘Academic’ and click on it.

Step 3: Now you will have to search for the link that reads ‘Secondary and Senior School Curriculum for the session 2024-25’

Step 4: Once you click on it a PDF file should open on your screen.

Step 5: Go through the pointers carefully and then download the file on your computer

Step 6: Printing out the document can help with future reference.

CBSE CLASS 10 AND 12 SYLLABUS 2024-25: HOW TO DOWNLOAD?

Students can follow the detailed step-by-step guide mentioned below to ensure a smooth download of the CBSE class 10 and 12 syllabus –

Step 1: Candidates will have to first visit the curriculum section of the CSBE website at www.cbseacademic.nic.in/curriculum_2025.html.

Step 2: To download the syllabus for classes 9-10, click on the tab that reads ‘Secondary Curriculum (IX-X)

Step 3: Here you will find the subject-wise breakdown of the entire syllabus that you can download individually.

Step 4: For classes 11-12 syllabus, you will have to click on the ‘Senior Secondary Curriculum (XI-XII)’

Step 5: Here you will again find the subject-wise breakdown of the syllabus.

Step 6: Based on your class, download the files you require.

Step 7. Take a printout of those files for future reference.

Meanwhile, the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) will release a new syllabus and textbooks for Classes 3 and 6, CBSE has said. The new syllabus is currently under development and will be released soon. “Consequently, schools are advised to follow these new syllabi and textbooks for classes 3 and 6 in place of textbooks published by NCERT till the year 2023,” said the Director (Academics) of the board Joseph Emmanuel.
