For the CBSE Class 12 science stream, each theoretical examination paper will carry 70 marks, and students appearing for the exam will be given three hours to write the exam.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will organise the board exams 2024 for CBSE Classes 10 and 12 from February 15 onwards. The board has released the sample papers for the exam and students can visit the official website cbseacademic.nic.in to download them.

Students who have opted for the science stream must appear for chemistry, biology, and physics exams and have to achieve a minimum score of 33% in each paper to pass. For the CBSE Class 12 science stream, each theoretical examination paper will carry 70 marks, and students appearing for the exam will be given a total of three hours to complete the questions.

CBSE Board Exams 2024: Class 12 Science Question Paper Pattern

Students can obtain the CBSE Class 12 sample question papers of these subjects from the official website of the authority. Each test will consist of a total of 33 questions, and it would be mandatory to answer all of them. While the question paper will not provide any overall choice for the students, there will be an internal choice given in all three questions in section E.

Additionally, there will also be an internal choice in sections B and C, and each CBQ question in section D.

Following is the question pattern for the students applying for the above-mentioned subjects:

Section A will consist of 16 questions – 12 MCQ and 4 assertion reasoning. Each one of them will carry one mark.

5 questions in Section B and will carry two marks each.

Section C will include 7 questions carrying three marks each.

Section D will consist of 2 case study-based questions. Each question will carry four marks.

There will be 3 long answer questions for students to solve in Section E. Each of these questions will carry five marks.
