Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) 67th Final Result 2023 was declared on October 28, 2023. Many candidates have managed to clear this coveted exam. One such candidate is Priyanka from Hata Nagar Panchayat, Chainpur block, Kaimur, Bihar. She secured the 100th rank in this exam. She has secured the position of Block Development Officer after passing this examination. Priyanka’s journey to clear this examination was marred by numerous challenges. She had to juggle between her responsibilities as a mother and an aspirant. This space articulates the obstacles Priyanka faced and how she managed to clear each one of them.

Priyanka is sixth among her four brothers and three sisters. In an interview with a portal, Priyanka said that she got married to Dhananjay Prasad, a resident of Amba village in Aurangabad district in 2011. Priyanka said that her husband works as a Weights and Measures Inspector in Patna Sadar block. She said that she completed her education (both primary and secondary) from Bhabua, Bihar. She pursued her graduation from Manorama Devi Ramrati Patel Degree Women’s College, Bhabua in 2012. Priyanka started her preparations for the BPSC in 2017.

Priyanka said in the interview, “After getting up early in the morning and completing the household chores, I had to send my 11-year-old daughter to school. While finishing these tasks, I also kept preparing for the competitive exams.” According to Priyanka, she had cleared the written exam for the BPSC twice, but failed to pass the interview stage. Her relentless efforts, however, bore fruit and she finally managed to get through the examination in the third attempt. Priyanka told the portal that she will keep preparing for future examinations as well and aims to become the SDM (Sub Divisional Magistrate).

Priyanka has given credit for her success to her husband, father-in-law, brother, and other family members. She said, “Ever since the results have been announced, people have been sending congratulatory messages on my husband’s mobile phone.” Priyanka said that she will work to implement the government-sponsored works and schemes at the ground level and make them affordable to needy people. Priyanka said that she will take strong initiatives regarding the upliftment of women’s rights. Priyanka’s elder brother Bharat Soni said relatives are calling them and congratulating his sister and parents for this accomplishment.
