The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) declared the State Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2023 result on October 3. The Bihar STET 2023 exam was held between September 4, 2023, and September 15, 2023. Candidates who could not attend the Bihar STET 2023 exam need not worry. According to News18 Hindi, the Bihar STET 2024 exam notification will be released in December this year. Reports state that the board may release a notification for the Bihar STET 2024 by December 15, 2023. However, the board has yet to make an official announcement on the same.

Once the notification is released, candidates can download it from the official website at bsebstet.com. Candidates will have to visit the main site to fill out the application forms as well.

The BSEB administers the Bihar Secondary Teachers Eligibility Test (STET) to candidates seeking positions as Higher Secondary (Class 11 to 12) and Secondary (Class 9 to 10) teachers. Candidates, who pass the Bihar STET 2023, are entitled to apply for teaching vacancies in the state’s schools. It is a recruitment test for candidates who desire to teach in Classes 9 to 12. Furthermore, the recruitment exam is held in two shifts – Morning and Afternoon.

Bihar STET 2024: To Be Held Twice A Year

As per recent reports, the Bihar STET 2024 will be administered twice a year. In Bihar, the STET has only been held three times in the last 13 years. It was first organised in 2011. After that, the test was scheduled for 2019, but due to a paper leak, it was cancelled and rescheduled for 2020. In 2023, STET will be held for the third time. STET will henceforth be held twice a year, per the Bihar Education Department’s directions, reports state.

Bihar STET 2024: Age Limit

For Bihar STET 2024, the minimum age should be 18 years. When it comes to the maximum age restriction, it differs depending on the category. General candidates must be 37 years old; general category female candidates must be 40 years old; SC/ST male and female candidates must be 42 years old; and BC/EBC applicants must be 40 years old.

Bihar STET 2024: Educational Qualification

Bihar’s primary schools need applicants to hold a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) or a comparable degree to hire them as teachers. However, a B.Ed. and graduation or post-graduation are required to work as a teacher in Classes 9 and 10.
