Fatima has expressed her ambition to pursue intermediate studies in the science stream and qualify for the NEET exam to become a doctor.

The Bihar Board has announced the results of the Class 10 (matriculation) examination, revealing a list of 51 toppers across the state. Among these achievers is Fatima Nesar, hailing from a farmer family in Gopalganj. Despite being one of five daughters, Fatima has made her family proud by securing the seventh rank in the exams, with an impressive total of 482 marks.

Fatima, a student of DAV High School in Miralipur village, Thawe block, has demonstrated academic excellence since her early schooling days. Fatima’s mother, Aamna Khatoon, shared that her daughter’s aptitude for studies had been recognised by her teachers from the outset, predicting her success in the board exams. As the Bihar Board released the results, Fatima and her family erupted in joy upon witnessing her achievement. The school staff, including teacher Vijay Arya and Principal Ajay Arya, visited Fatima’s home to extend their congratulations, highlighting the school’s continued commitment to academic excellence.

Looking ahead, Fatima has expressed her ambition to pursue intermediate studies in the science stream and qualify for the NEET exam, aspiring to become a doctor and serve the underprivileged in the country. She attributes her success to the unwavering support of her parents and the guidance of her teachers.

Out of a total of 16,64,252 students who appeared for the matriculation examination, 13,79,542 have passed, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 82.91 in Bihar. Notably, 4,52,302 students achieved the first division, while 5,24,965 students secured the second division. The state witnessed 51 students clinching the top ten positions, showcasing exceptional academic performance.

In the matriculation results, Shivankar from District School Purnia emerged as the state topper with 489 marks, closely followed by Adarsh Kumar from Samastipur with 488 marks. Additionally, four students, including girls from Simlutala, Jamui, Madhubani, and Vaishali, jointly secured the third position.
