Therefore, if the programme runs for about four months, which is usually the case, the actor might wind up pocketing a whopping Rs 200 crore for a full season. But there is no official confirmation from the makers or the actor on the compensation yet.

Salman Khan has been associated with Bigg Boss since 2010 and has become a crucial part of the show. Reportedly, the actor started with a remuneration of about Rs 2.5 crore. From the 7th season on, the pay was increased to Rs 5 crore, and it subsequently increased every year.

Last month, Salman announced the new season of Bigg Boss with the promising themes of Dil Dimag and Dum. The audience will be able to watch the forthcoming season of Bigg Boss on Colours TV.
