The Bihar Public Service Commission recently announced the results of the 67th BPSC Combined Examination. Several aspirants, this time around, have cracked the exam without having proper coaching or tuition classes. One such example is Rashmi Bharti from Khankita village of Bhagalpur district.

For the first time in the village’s history, Rashmi, the daughter of Saurabh Kumar from Khankita, has achieved a significant milestone by becoming an officer. She secured the 757th rank in the BPSC exam, earning the position of Rural Development Officer. This marks a historic moment as no young man or woman from the village has previously attained the status of an officer.

Rashmi’s parents, Saurabh and Nisha Devi are both teachers. They have four children, with Rashmi being the eldest. She received her primary education at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya and completed her graduation at TMBU. Rashmi shared her lifelong aspiration to enter the field of administration, expressing her happiness at achieving this dream. However, she also acknowledged that her journey was ongoing, and she was committed to its fulfilment.

“I have achieved success only through self-study and not through any coaching for this,” shared Rashmi. “My sister and brother also supported me in this. The entire credit for this goes to my mother and father who never stopped me for anything.”

Rashmi wants to serve in the Saharsa district, where the education standards for girls need enhancement. She is determined to uplift the educational quality there and aspires to be a role model for her village. Her dedication and resolve to make a positive impact on education in her region are evident in her future plans.

Rashmi Bharti’s achievement as a Rural Development Officer has brought immense joy to her family. They are receiving congratulations from various quarters. Notably, Rashmi’s mother, Nisha Bharti, holds the position of District President at the Bihar Panchayat Nagar Elementary Teachers Association, Bhagalpur Mahila Morcha.

The story of Rashmi is not only exclusive this year as it has been seen that quite a few aspirants have been cracking BPSC without any proper teaching or tuition, serving as a prime example where hard work and determination will act as a key to success.
