A day after his late night arrest, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was produced before the Rouse Avenue Court on Friday, 22 March. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader was taken into custody by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday, 21 March, in connection with the alleged Delhi liquor excise policy scam.Kejriwal’s arrest came just hours after the Delhi High Court had refused to grant any interim protection from coercive action to the AAP chief. He was reportedly arrested under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002.
