- According to the report, existing subscribers will see these price increases 30 days later, on their next renewal date. “We are focused on delivering the best experiences possible for our customers by consistently adding high-quality entertainment, content, and innovative features to our services,” Apple said in a press statement.
Apple says that it has nearly tripled the number of gaming titles on Arcade since 2019. Every month, Apple brings new titles and updates to existing games.
Apple’s price increase comes after Netflix had also announced a hike. In fact, even Spotify is expected to increase prices for its subscribers. Netflix subscribers on the Basic plan, which previously cost $9.99 per month, will now have to pay $11.99. Similarly, Premium plan subscribers, who previously paid $19.99 per month, will now have to pay $22.99.
However, the prices for the ad-supported plan at $6.99 per month and the Standard tier at $15.49 per month will remain unchanged. Incidentally, even Netflix didn’t hike prices in India.
