What happens when an iPhone 15 is put through the dreaded auto rickshaw test?

iPhone 15 is claimed to feature a durable body that can handle anything, but what happens when it goes through a rugged auto rickshaw test in India?

Apple has made the iPhones durable and every year we are seeing its claims getting bolder. The company brings ads that have shown its increased focus on making iPhones stronger, and reliable under the water thanks to the IP68 rating. But now, Apple has gone one step further by taking the dreaded auto rickshaw challenge with the iPhone 15 to see if the device can handle the worst bumps, high-speed drifts and a lot more.

Apple is calling the iPhone 15 dependably durable and this 40-second ad is meant to give people comfort about how and where they are using their iPhones.

iPhone 15 Auto Rickshaw Ad: What It Says

The ad starts with the auto rickshaw moving at a frenetic pace in a crowded street, and the person using the iPhone 15 watching a cricket match with all their focus. The rickshaw goes drifting in high speed, takes a tumble to turn, which leads to the iPhone 15 falling out of the person’s hand. You can catch the full ad over here:

As the rickshaw moves at a rapid pace, the iPhone continues to jump, bouncing on the seat, before finally crashing down on the hard surface of the three-wheeler that is sure to break the screen of the iPhone into pieces. However, much to our surprise, the iPhone 15 not only lands safely on the hard-bound mat but manages to come out of the enthralling ride without any scratches, bumps or bruises. Apple ends the clip saying, “Relax, it’s iPhone.”

Now, we all know that ads are generally meant to show a product in a good light, but even then, putting the iPhone through this battle and making it come out without any scratches is a stretch.

There is no denying that the frame and body of the iPhone 15 and recent models has been solidified but we will never recommend you try this stunt, especially if you haven’t paid extra for the AppleCare+ protection, because you might have to pay a hefty price for that cracked iPhone display.

Recently, there was another ad where Apple says that 128GB on an iPhone 15 is a lot to store photos. When you consider the quality of the cameras on offer and how people love to click pictures and shoot videos, 128GB (without cloud storage) is never going to be enough.
