Anupamaa, one of the most-watched Hindi television series, starring Rupali Ganguly is making the headlines again. Since its inception in 2020, the serial has been running successfully, striking a chord among the masses. The equation between Anupama (Rupali Ganguly) and her husband Anuj Kapadia (Gaurav Khanna) has been the highlight of the show in recent times. Although many have showered their love for the on-screen pair, some have resorted to trolling Rupali’s character for her recent stint in the soap opera. Now, Rupali Ganguly has finally reacted to the negative comments through a series of X posts, putting forward a special request to her fandom.

Defending the characters shown in Anupamaa, Rupali Ganguly shared that every actor in the serial was not only “doing their best” but they also formed an integral part of the plot. Hence, she requested fans not to bring down any character at the behest of glorifying another. “Each and everyone who is here on Anupamaa has connected to some character or the other in this show. How does liking one character or actor give you the right to pull other characters down? Every actor is doing their best and every actor is important to the storyline!” she wrote.

Taking a dig at the naysayers, Rupali Ganguly added, “Supporting your favourite character and criticizing a character you do not like is understood but to pull down a human being who is just doing their job is disgusting, especially by people who don’t even have the guts to have their pic on their DP or their real identities!”

Asking her fandom not to spread hatred, Rupali Ganguly urged them to “send in positivity and love” to Anupamaa. “With folded hands,” she requested everyone to make “this space a happy zone instead of a war zone.” The actress also extended her gratitude to the viewers who loved watching the show and connected with the story.

In the concluding post, Rupali Ganguly wrote, “With due respect to every solo from every fandom, I request you to kindly maintain grace and dignity while even criticizing any character.” She even requested her fandom to watch Anupamaa as a serial, meant for entertainment purposes and urged the masses not to share “negative comments” on social media about any character.

Anupamaa revolves around the story of a homemaker who decides to live life on her own terms when the umpteen sacrifices she made to keep her family together go uncredited and unnoticed.
